故關衰草遍，離別自堪悲。
路出寒雲外，人歸暮雪時。
少孤爲客早，多難識君遲。
掩淚空相向，風塵何處期。

The ancient pass o'ergrown with withered grass,
At the parting my grief cannot but grow.
Your road will lead beyond cold cloud, alas!
While I'll return at dusk into the snow.

You wandered young without father and mother;
In frustration I came to know you late.
Hiding our tears, we stare long at each other;
What can we expect from our bitter fate?
